Welcome to the School Library

The purpose of our school library is to help every member of our school community — students, staff, and families — have a safe and inviting space to go where they can gain new knowledge, skills, and dispositions for learning and personal development that they will use throughout their lives. Our goal is to promote literacy while sharing the wonders of reading.
Books give a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.
Hours & Daily Access
Our warm, cozy, and relaxing library is filled with natural light, warm lighting from lamps, beautiful plants, and calm music. It is open from 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM, five days a week. All students have access to the library before school, during morning break, and at lunch recess.
Weekly Classroom Visits
Classrooms visit the library once a week for an engaging read-aloud session and to check out books. Students can return their current books and pick out new favorites either during their designated class visit or during their daily recess breaks.
Recess Activities & Clubs
The library is a safe, inviting space for personal development or a quiet brain break. Students can come in to read to a friend, complete homework, or work on class research projects. During recess, the library proudly hosts a Chess Club and a Dungeons & Dragons Club, along with activities like coloring, sticker art, word search puzzles, and an ongoing community puzzle.
Special Programs & Research Support
The Trinidad Library actively supports grade-level academic milestones and enrichment programs. This includes providing resources and research assistance for the Battle of the Books, History Day, MARE month, and various classroom research assignments.
Authors' Festival
Every two years, the library helps bring the magic of literature to life by hosting the Authors' Festival, an exciting community event where a featured professional author visits our school to share their work and creative journey with the students.
Funding & Book Donations
Our library collection is proudly funded through our regular Scholastic Book Fairs. We also gladly accept book donations from families to help share the wonders of reading! Students can easily use our school library system to search for books of interest.
